Tegnap voltam a bagláni kormányzó sajtótájékoztatóján. Politikai napilapok, Hír TV, MT1, és a szerény Kül-Világ folyóirat. Nem kérdeztem semmit, mert az ott elhangzó válaszok újságíróknak valók. Ez nem a miniszter és a kormányzó hibája, hanem minden sajtótájékoztató sajátossága. Voltak kérdések is, úgyhogy érdeklődve olvasom majd, hogy mi lesz a mai újságokban.
Az ENSZ kihozta 2007-es kábítószer jelentését, itt van a full text anyag. Van benne szó a termelésről és fogyasztásról, a csempészútvonalakról és az egyes fő termelő országok eredményeiről..
"Canadian Forces in Afghanistan címmel elkészült egy príma 160 oldalas jelentés. Van benne szó a PRT-ről, a fejlesztés és biztonság összefüggéséről, a nyugati világ türelmetlenségéről, "sikerüldözéséről", hogy Afganisztánban is évek alatt akarunk eredményt látni.
Viewed through a historian’s lens it might be noticed that since the Second World War, Western tolerance for protracted conflict has become quite limited. Public opinion at home, detached as it is from the reality of the battlefield, can turn on a dime and force governments to bring the troops home, just because citizens feel they have had enough.
